Have you read this:

http://www.navcoder.com/downloads/Readme.txt

Note the developer doesn't use/recommend an OBDII connection, but prefers the Reisler I Bus interface

I may stand to be corrected, but the trial version won't give you much in terms of functionality, things improve once an activation key is purchased?

If you bought a lead like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-DIAGNOSTIC-S...SwH09ZIMjC

It already comes with a Navcoder trial....

When you connect run the program, you should see a load of ibus messages go by? .

I will order one of those leads and try that. Thanks for the link.

I know you have to register the software to change things just wanted to make sure it works before buying it.
Do you have to register to pair the phone as well??

Pair phone, yes. I used Navcoder to do this instead of the touching of wires (because I had Navcoder already!)

I have a Reisler for my Navcoder connection, it will take a bit of fiddling about in the boot to make the connections but it works fine.

Details on connecting up can be found here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic8786.html

somewhere in the middle of the first page .

Oh, and do yourself a favour when installing the ULF. The code is on the underside of the unit. Write it on the top of the unit before installing, will save a bit of trouble when you forget what it is! .

Have done that already lol

I installed it over the weekend can't test it yet as I bought the ulf and the antenna from different places and the antenna is still to arrive. The modules in and all repinned and shows activate phone on the computer so hopefully all has gone well so far, fingers crossed.
