It sounds electrical, possible low voltage or brake light switch. I suggest you have the battery load tested.

How many miles has it done? ______________________________

Not just voltage, but a load test.

The alternators in the tdv8 3.6 seem to fall over from about 60,000 miles. You are well into that territory, and show up symptoms like you have described. ______________________________

Found the problem been in for service asked them to check fault codes when I went to pick car up they told me the fault codes were low turbo pressure and needed new turbos but not 100% sure so I said did you check hoses and young lad said all good so when I got home took hoses off 10 minute job and right hand side hose was splittape it up with gorilla tape and no more limp home so it went from 5k+ to £4 for the hoses
Thank you everybody and rar for your help
