Evening all,
Heading back home after a weekend at Bisley Shooting Ground, so had to go through the usual M25 rigmarole.
Once off the M25 I accelerated hard and noticed a plume of white smoke appear.
Not too concerned as I'd been stop/start for a while.
On to the A1 and started 'making progress' 😉 Came off a roundabout and had 'Restricted Performance' with no associated other warnings.
Stopped car, switched off, locked and unlocked, started off again and within 1/2 mile had RP again.
Off to my independent first thing tomorrow to hopefully find out what's up, but not too happy.

Could be a sticky secondary inlet isolation valve.

Well it was confirmed as the air inlet manifold having split along the inner seam.
Maltings Off Road in Westwoodside, Doncaster are on the case after using a smoke machine to confirm the leak.
Hopefully collect later today ready for a Scotland trip tomorrow. Thank it happened when it did as I'm taking the tin tent up with me!

Replace the 4 short rubber Hoses and clean the MAPF at the same time and it will run like a new one. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

A new manifold includes new connecting hoses.

That's got the older style rubbers on it, so nice shiny new ones will be fitted! Seems to be problematic the whole intake system on the 4.4's Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Back on my drive by early Tuesday afternoon.
I can't thank Maltings Off Road enough!!! It was my first experience with them and they really couldn't have done more to keep me happy. Chuffed to bits.

Pretty sure it was £420 including the 4 rubber hoses, and associated fittings.
Can't remember if that was plus VAT or inclusive?
2 hours labour to replace with my independent.
All genuine LR parts though.
