New driver side mirror glass advice required

As prices range from £17-£180 on fleabay can someone advise me which model numbers are relevant on my broken glass mirror. Its a heated version but with lots of fluid running from the glass I'm wondering is it a light sensitive version as well?

According to the workshop manual I just need to tilt it out and upward to release, so reverse to secure I assume? I don't think I need to remove the whole housing from the door frame to replace just the mirror glass?

One with liquid in is chromatic (think that's what it's called) they are expensive to replace, I replaced both my.mirrors for aftermarket ones (sadly cracking the passenger mirror when removing) I put on a nice matching pair of heated mirrors with blue anti dazzle effect

Chromatic have two sets of electrical connectors running to them, ones a black plug and the other connects directly onto the mirror.

We tried a few after market items, none of them dimmed so we ended up buying genuine.

Had to do mine last year....

You can get a non dimming one, even from Land Rover, for less than £40....

.... but it's a slightly different tint and won't match the passenger side. That would remind me how I cut corners, every time I drove the car...so I coughed up more like £140 for the proper one.

Just pull the old one off.

To fit the new one, I put some fairy liquid on the pegs and offered it up, after doing the connections of course... the push it in all at the same time, same pressure everywhere till it clicks in.

Thanks folks. Having driven around for a few days with no drivers mirror you forget how necessary it is!

My mirror does indeed have the second electric connecter so that's that question answered, time to bite the bullet and choose a cheaper heated one or the properchromatic.
