Help!!!!

Hi all,

Currently locked out of my FF at Watford gap services. The central locking hasn't worked for a while so I've been manually unlocking it on the drivers door. However.... Now the drivers door handle has broken!!!!!
Is there an emergency locked hidden under the passenger door handle trim? Or isit possible to prise the plastic backing dish out from the drivers handle and reach into the mechanism? NW060

Can you hold the unlock on the fob to get the windows come down and reach in....?

I am of course assuming your central locking is not working because of the car, not a fob issue..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Neither fob has worked for a while. I don't know why, as both of them light up when the buttons are pressed - I guess it's something wrong with the receiver in the car.
I really don't want to have to break a window! Big Cry
If I do have to, do all the doors unlock from the inside if the handle is pulled, regardless of if the central locking is on? If so, it would mean I could get away with breaking the little fixed rear window and opening the rear door, rather than smashing the huge drivers windows NW060

Depends if it's super locked. If it is, nothing will work - handles or button on dash.

Thinking on, scrub that, you must have unlocked it with the key, but it's just the broken cable....so it can't be super locked.

If you can somehow press the button on the dash....

The rear door should open if you can get to the handle. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I'm in the RAC, I'm already waiting for a breakdown truck due to overheating, this is just the icing on the cake.....
RAC telephone guy said it was a a specialist job which is not covered by my normal membership... Though I guess it's still cheaper than a new window plus fitting..... NW060

if you turn the key twice it unlocks all the doors so even if the drivers door handle is broken you should be able to get in via the passenger door.... ... - .- -.

This is a very good reason to fix things when they break! When I got my fatty door lock didn't work at the first opportunity I stripped it and repaired

Hope your sorted now?

TAC not heard of specialist job, do you get your breakdown free with insurance or bank account?

Broken window should be covered on your windscreen excess on your insurance - at least mine was - I was pleasantly surprised.

Lesson learnt on fixing things promptly!
Many thanks all for your suggestions.

The rac bloke eventually turned up and managed to tease the door top open with a nifty inflatable envelope, then hooked the handle from the inside. The car is being dropped off to the garage tonight with strict instructions NOT TO LOCK IT until the handle is fixed! NW060

Have you tried resynching the keys to the car?

When I bought mine, one key didn't unlock the car. A forum member helped sort that with instructions on how to synch both keys.
