How much do you pay for a Courtesy Car

Having to put the FF in to the stealers shortly , enquired about a courtesy car as i think they will need it for a few days and was told i have to pay £18 + vat per day for the use of one , never had to do that before , so much for a courtesy car ......... Laughing

£0 - I never pay.

Otherwise it's not a Courtesy Car. You are hiring it IMHO. Whistle

Say it's a standard family hatchback. £15,000.
£18 a day Mon-Fri for five years = £23,400.
They sell it for £5,000.

Maybe they don't want your business. Wink Laughing

Only ever had 2 courtesy cars, one was a mundane Audi A4 diesel when mine went in for a service, not very memorable, but the other one was was when I put my Accord Type R in to Honda for a couple of bits, the guy went to look for a Civic Type R for me to have as I kind of gave him some waffle about maybe chopping in the Accord for one so would be an ideal chance to test drive one, (really I just wanted to kick it's head in for a giggle for a day or 2)

He was away for ages, came back and said,

"We haven't got a Civic's available, but we do have a Jazz, it's kind of like you Accord, it's red, but that's where the similarities end"

So for 2 days I rocked a 1.4 Jazz (Type R wannabe) absolutely loved it too Embarassed Would rev to 7k rpm, hit 60 in 2nd and actually handled quite well. I think I had more fun in that than I would have had in a Civic Laughing 2006 Mercedes CLS

But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...

used to get Courtesy RR, then Discovery, then LR Handbag, now its a sh!tty eurobox - thats how stealers have gone over the last 25 years.

All the courtesy LR vehicles were either demo's or s/h stock

Never ever had a Sporty though Whistle

only good thing is they don't charge....

Mundanos x2 when in for a service from Stradstone Stoke

Civic 2l Petrol when Mrs had a bump
206 When Mrs had another bump

Have to say neither bumps were the fault of the Mrs!

Standard Civic was like Censored off a shovel Shocked

Never paid for any of them.
