Australia 2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
walking backwards

When I first acquired this vehicle, I looked on youtube and saw a guy using a hawkeye tool and thought that is what I need.
I bought one on gumtree, the guy said it would not work on my vehicle, I needed an adaptor.
I bought the adaptor, then found I needed to buy a licence, $350/$400 and only for that vehicle I think
After I found this forum, I found members use other tools including icarsoft and as they are not to expensive I thought I would get one and forget about the hawkeye
The icarsoft arrived yesterday, I read the book and I cant get it to work

Mine came with the car, just plug it in and it fires up. Do you get that far?
There are several screens to go through until you get to the diagnosis screen.

It works ok
My 9 year old or even my 4 year old granddaughters would not have had a problem

I have an IcarSoft 930 and it works fine. It does have to be vehicle specific thou.

Plug into the scart THEN turn on ignition. (not the other way round)

If yours is locked to your VIN or one of the more expensive 'all model' handsets and you do the the above but get nothing I'd say the handset is fubbared.

I do think the IcarSoft range is a bit poor when it comes to interface and instructions thou.

Good luck 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus
