hi new this forum thankd for been here for the help local main dealer..does not like customers !! range rover vogue 2003 4.4 when folding the wing mirrors in they both move in then move back out again..dealer says new wing mirrors at £400 each plus fitting is there anyhting i can do seems a silly fault for a lot of money the mirrors worked find then one day off they went

I have the very same problem. I remember seeing another post on this which point towards a fault in the sensor that tell the ECU the mirrors have folded in successfully. If the ECU does not get this info it makes them move out again. My FFRR is in next week having it fixed under warranty. I'll ask them what it was once they have fixed it. I am sure one of the more experienced forum members will be able to point you in the direction of the other post I saw (or try the search function) as well as supply you with some self help tips. FFRR TD6 HSE

If they are similar to my outgoing X5 there is a micro switch under the mirror casing. The little metal tang fell off or became bent. One dicky sensor will knock both out causing the in/out movements. Ian

thanks thats great the dealer just wanted me to spend £1000 plus vat i said no, anyone any idea how to remove the casing ?

might be worth doing a search for the casing removal..most likely been asked and answered before...
