Fettling well underway now!

New genuine Range Rover screen fitted yesterday. Fitters confirmed that the previous windscreen repair attempt was within Zone A and due to the size of the repaired damage, would be an MOT fail!

Impressed with the L405. Not so impressed with the selling main dealer. Particularly given their departure lounge speech as to how they had gone above and beyond in their preparation of this car. A1 preparation and pledges that have seen me having to buy a new 22" tyre, arrange a replacement windscreen and detail it/ stove it clean in the first few weeks of ownership.

Getting there now though. Even bough a bottle of Meguiars Ultimate Wax the other day. ฃ29.99 for just 434ml Shocked

But you do get a nice little black application pad and a smart black Megs Microfibre finishing cloth Mr. Green

Thumbs Up

It did Stan.

Don't recall seeing a crack when viewing and test driving the car over 2 weeks before collection and did check all aspects of the car.

When sitting in the car over 2 weeks later, a repaired crack was obvious. Upon raising it with the seller, it was conceded they knew about it but claimed it had been damage repaired when they took the car in. They added that it was not an MOT fail because they'd MOT'd the car Neutral

Selling dealer paying for our insurance excess. No inclination to escalate the issue. Think they have a damn cheek Rolling Eyes

So, 'above and beyond'? No, as little as they could get away with.

It's the bodywork scratches that they documented they'd correct on the sale agreement that has grated the most (almost as much as the grit grinder who must have washed the car Laughing

Seller appears to have done little to nothing to correct them.

On top of them now but it has taken ages to correct them.

Still pleased with the car Thumbs Up

Machine polished (rotary device) the entire passenger side, bonnet and front bumper at various stages throughout today. 4 stages. Farecla G3 scratch remover; Meguiars Ultimate Compound; Meguiars Ultimate Polish; and Meguiars Ultimate liquid wax. Tedious!

Coming up well. Why do people who can afford to buy these things new, then let local grit grinders loose on them Banging Head

@bembo, i don't think you can 'advise' Ryan on how to clean a car, he's a bit of a expert on that subject... ... - .- -.

2 months in and the car is living up to expectations. The 3.0 diesel is excellent and overall the car is great.

Bought a few Country Lake rotary polishing pads for paint correction, polishing and finishing etc. Not used them yet but I will! Mr. Green

Just received back, a set of as 'as new' refurbished aluminium RR tread plates from the excellent firm that is Badger Anodising in Birmingham. Got to refit them and the other bits of trim now Rolling Eyes

Very happy with the L405.

Missing the L322 and the L322 side of the forum Wink

Thumbs Up
