England 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Barolo Black
trouble starting . sometimes ?

Hi Folks , i have a 2006 L322 4.4 VOGUE . I am having some trouble with it starting at all times of the day ? It turns over as if its going to start but just doesn't fire up , it takes a good few attempts. Sometimes it makes like a cough and splutter then it will start ? The local garage plugged it in and it said coolant sensor fault which i have had changed but still having the same problem ? just a bit confused now and after any advice of you guys please .

Off the top of my head, these are a few of the ones I can think of. I may be off on some of them so happy for anyone to correct me. It's all knowledge!!

Could be Fuel pump on its way out.

Or PCV hoses shot/on way out (long shot this one!)

Or fuel pressure low due to a fault in the rail (?) - do a search on this. there was a recent post about fuel draining back into the tank.

or dirty MAFS/split air intake pipe/dirty air filter

Crankcase breather fault?
