Mk4 Sat Nav

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know who made the mk4 satnav for BMW? I just had a quick look on the bay and there were quite a few dvd players on there, which looked the same but were for a different make. if we found who made them and which other companies they supplied them would a simple firmwear upgrade do the trick? The BMW/LANDROVER ones are way more expensive because of the brand.
Any ideas
Rob

Agreed - Vdo Dayton made the mk1-mk3 I know that much, considering it is very much the same tech I would have thought they made the mk4. Don't Phillips own them now??

Dan what I was getting at would it work as it wasn't LR or BMW? It says it's a DVD version in the description but a fraction of the cost as it Ian for a BMW or LR.

It may say description buy the guys a moron...

It's not a CD player or a DVD player either as per his "Description"

Short story - no that one won't work. Wishful thinking on your part I'm afraid. The one I linked to is the cheapest on the bay.
