So I have a TDV8 3.6, trying to change the two right angle (elbow) intake manifold hoses, Ive undone the 6 bolts on the plastic manifold and just need it to raise up an inch to get the new hoses on, it moves a little but wont budge enough, is there a bolt or anything else im missong ? Current Vehicles :

You shouldn't need to unbolt anything. It's a bit difficult but they do go back on. ______________________________

Yep it took some manipulation. I refitted the same hose without damage.

On your original question have a look at this excellent post on EGR access. It includes a step to remove the top manifold. Hopefully that helps.
