L322 Digital TV Upgrade Advice

Hi all.
Just putting the feelers out for some advice on the Digital TV upgrades that are available for the L322 TV systems with the fibre optic systems with touch screen.
I'm considering having this upgrade fitted to my vehicle & wondered if anybody has had this upgrade.
I have been recommended a company in Birmingham, https://www.vehicleinstallationsolutions.c...r-ibus-tv.
This company seems to have excellent reviews. I think my main concerns is the delicate electrical systems fitted to the L322!! Is this just a simple upgrade of components or will it mean tapping deep into the cars electrical system.
As much as I would like the upgrade, I don't want to open a can of worms and cause problems with the electrical system. Any advice would be great please.
Regards, Mark.

just to add, do you really want it?..the reception is restricted to strong signal areas and if you watch it for to long then the battery will go flat...and for the going rate of around £300 ,you can buy a nice flatscreen for the bedroom etc.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan,
Good question, to be honest the Rangie is only really used of a weekend.
So yes £300 is a few bob, I'm just one of those who likes all the gadgets working.
Was concerned about the cost as my Rangie is a weird one.
It's a Late 2004 September, but mine has the touch screen system and I think by looking in the rear all the fibre optic system, so cost I'm unsure off. Also my rear screens only play the DVD system and not the front screen?? I think mine had an upgrade when purchased brand new. The DVD system in the boot is an Alpine with bluetooth headphones. without the headphones switched on no sound is present through any of the vehicle speakers??
Regards.
Mark.

That will probably be the same here, I will upgrade the TV and never use it.
My 2004 does not have the reversing camera neither, grrrrrr
I'm actually surprised mine has the later system as I thought these were fitted from 2005 on the facelift models?
Regards,
Mark

the MOST system came out as early as 54 reg plates ...had yours have the earlier canbus system then fitting an android head unit would have been the way to go.... ... - .- -.

If you have a touch screen your VIN should be 5A****** which indicates Model Year 2005. MYs start from about September of the previous year depending on when LR roll them out.

Yep Weggie, mine has the 35A in the middle, and I meant to put first reg end Sept 2004, not 2005

I have had the digital telly in both my cars and they are both poo.

living in the villages there is reasonable signal, but unless I am on the top of a multi-storey carpark, parked with the engine running its pretty much un watchable, honestly it is one of the most useless gadgets I have come across...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
