Battery Change / IID Tool errors from 2024...

Hi all,

Changed my battery over the weekend to an https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/exide/ek950/ as the 6 year old Bosch which was in there when I bought it finally gave up the ghost.

Then I told the car that it has a new battery via the IID Tool and checked the menu for the correct battery type in another menu.

I then scanned it for errors (pages of them), cleared them and then scanned again.. which has just left the same faults (pages & pages) but loads of then are from the year 2024 (the time and date was set correctly on the car - see below)

Any ideas? Its currently wired up to my Ctek charger as I haven't done any decent miles in it since I fitted the new battery - I did take it to the local shop less than a mile away and it flashed up 'Gearbox Fault' and then 'Active Damping Fault' on the dash..

Hi,

did you ever get to the bottom of this? My IID tool has suddenly started logging loads of faults but I cannot clear them. The car drives fine with no warnings coming up on the dash, just wondering if it is an under voltage issue? i.e is battery and/or alternator on the way out?

Hi,

This would've been on my old 2010 3.6 TDV8.

From memory, once I'd driven it a bit with the new battery the faults disappeared. I can't remember why the year was wrong though I'm afraid.

Sorry I cant be more helpful. Gavin
