Ireland 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Hi all, I have the 2011 VSE for a week now. Biggest difference is the gearbox. The 2011 doesn't really rev over 2k which makes a relaxing drive. I had my 2007 VSE until a few days ago and was able to drive it back to back against the 2011. It was surprising how close the refinement was almost equal and a testament to the RR marque.

The dealer i bought the 2011 from lent my 2007 to a customer of his who had crashed his 2010 FFRR. The customer drove it home and called the dealer and bought it !!!! Same customer called in yesterday to my office for a chat ( he had collected 2007 with dealer ). This gentleman was so pleased with my 2007 i had a few moments of regret !!!!!! He was over the moon with the car and said it was a much nicer drive than his 2010. He was particularly impressed with the power ( remapped )

Anyway back to the 2011, i have ordered the deployable side steps, grest price from Matlings, i have ordered the illuminated sill plates , incredibly cheap ( so much so , im very wary but will report back if they are correct ).

I have new mudflaps ordered to suit deployable steps and a full interior LED bulb kit.

The car is booked in for all oils , engine , gearbox, diffs and a remap next week and the only other addition i want is to change the front fogs to DRLs. I have seen a few kits varying in price from 30 to 130 stg. Im leaning towards the 130 set as the are a direct replacement with halo for DRL and retaining the fog ability.

Seats are being removed for re dyeing to two tone as per Autobiography option from 2011.

I have also returned my non BT tool to gap in exchange for a BT version. They offer a great deal on part exchange.

Only other change so far is the 22" Kahns are gone and been replaced with year correct 20" style 11s.

A few pics below ( already posted in another thread ) car with style 11s isnt mine but will posted ones of mine shortly.

Hi dolph, your new one is looking good!

How much are you getting the illuminated treads for?
Best I've seen is £150 each.

Are you thinking about getting the 4.4 remapped too?

Greg Cheers, Greg

Hi Greg, treads were 104 ex vat. Got to be worth a gamble !! Remap is hopefully next week and in fairness to the 07 ( Archie) he need a good wash. Beelzebub was freshly washed for pics. Smile) 2015 4.4 AB

Hi Dolph,

Treads is that 104 each?

Be very interested to hear about your remap, especially on fuel consumption.
Keep us posted!

You'll love the steps too, did mine a few months back.

Hi Greg , 104 is for the set which is why im skeptical !!! Supposed to arrive on mon / tues. Current litre per hundred is 8.4 , 2007 VSE was around 11.3 so improvement there and heading away for the night on a 400 mile round trip journey so be interesting to see what returns i get mileage wise. Remap supposed to increase mpg but we will see. Looking forward to steps.

John I've just been searching the forum for 4.4 remaps

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic40553-15.html

has a few comments about the transmission being close to it's torque limit and others saying it's great with more power and 5-10% improvement on fuel. Cheers, Greg

Nothing like a shiny 2011 L322 for a bit of stress relief though Dolph!

Feels like I've won the lottery every time I drive mine. Beats therapy!

Very true Greg, just home after a night away and did 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres !!!! Did 736 kilometres and have 127 to empty. Completely relaxed after the drive and could do it again right now. They really are great cars. 2015 4.4 AB

Ireland 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Buckingham Blue

Hi John
The 2011 looks great but to be fair the 2007 looks great too. I'm sure I've seen that 2011 for sale online the past few weeks. Can I ask which dealer you bought it from? I was looking at a 2011 Autobiography a few weeks ago but missed it. Wasn't initially gone on the red leather but it was growing on me lol.
Right now I'm happy with my 2005 Td6 Vogue but looking for an 11 or 12 in the next 6 months. Will be hard to get rid of her as been perfectly reliable the past 3 years.

Thanks

Pat
