Facebook goodbye

Who voted for Mark Gutterberg or what ever his name is to police the thoughts and beliefs of others ? 6 day ban for voicing concerns over religious terrorism. Mean while I see some one else banned for posting a picture of a Poppy and asking for support for brave British troops. A fun group for people to ' have a whinge " onconstantly banned. Nope, he can stick his advert riddled propaganda site where the sun dont shine.

Never been or want to be on Facetube, from what I hear from friends and family it's where dead heads brag about their miserable lives.
I suppose it does have it's uses, but looking at today's yoof, it's got a lot to answer for.

Agreed on all counts.
And if anyone’s interested I had a good day at work and I ate a tuna sandwich for lunch (no mayo).
Cool

I've never had face book nor a you tube account and I'm not dead nor inconvenienced. My two teenage sons however have had both and I have seen the misery that can arise from such social media crap.

Total unnecessary boll**ks if you ask me. Shocked

...and yet like so many 'developments' in life there are so many sheep who believe its a must have. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

You are better off without it. Thumbs Up

As others have said it is simply an advertising site now with very little value.

My teenage kids laugh when I mention Facebook, apparently teenagers avoid it now as it's only used by older people, i.e. parents....... Shocked Shocked

Kids all seem to be into snapchat these days.

Oh, and I've never had a FB account, never seen the point. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

An alternative view put across by someone who started using it fairly recently...

Facebook is like a pub.

You are in someone else's premises and have to follow their rules, even if they make no sense.......no trainers!

Around about, there are conversations going on that you have no interest in or control over and there is always at least one loud mouth knuckle dragger being a total ar5e.

So you either find a quiet corner, go into the garden or you just zone the noise out.

There are simple settings to minimise adverts and such like.....they don't go entirely but they aren't intrusive being stuck on the right side of the screen in two small boxes. Avoiding stuff and people you aren't interested in is much easier.

This makes it really easy to enjoy the groups you are genuinely interested in; Range Rover groups, Classic car groups, whatever takes your particular fancy and just like this forum, there are many very interesting and helpful people out there. Filtering out the noise is easy when you know how.

I'm not a fan of the Facebook concept, Zuckerberg or his rules, people who despise it so much they feel the need to ridicule and insult others for using it or knuckle draggers in general BUT just like in a pub, once in a while you meet a group that is really interesting so you spend time with them and ignore the rest.

It's all very well concentrating on the negatives but there are a good many positives....... only thing is, the good bits don't fall into your lap; you have to find them and once you've done that, it's clear sailing.

I got thrown off for posting topless pics of my ex girlfriends.

Cindy, Cristy, Heidi, Claudia - they didn't like that.
