Hi Guys
Not quite RR related but close. A friend has an 05 X5 and fancys getting a DVD player with headrest screens fitted. Does anyone have any experiance in doing this? I have them in mine but they came with them so not much help. Roughly how much will this set him back?

Hi Guys

Does anyone know how hard it is to remove the front powered headrests to replace them with say Rosen units (just the physical headrest removal not the AV side of things)?

I'm presuming this will be of interest to the X5 Guys as he'll need to do the same (so not trying to hijack the thread)...

Will hopefully be looking into installing RSE in my Vogue soon. Anybody done this or have any tips.

Would prefer to go down the factory fit as possible depending on price but will also look into aftermarket.

I did this in my wifes 2008 D3, it's not a really tough job but finding the right parts and more importantly the wiring loom is, as Land Rover do not have separate part numbers for the RSE part of the main ICE harness.

I'm on the look out to replace my 03 FFRR when the right car comes along but it will have to have RSE already factory fitted as I dont fancy tackling it again.

How did you find the Rosen 7500s?

Looking at the marketing blurb they look OK, not convinced with the resolutions but I suppose if you scale it up they are OK.

Was the quality of product OK overall?

I had the rear roof mounted Rosen as a factory fit in the Discovery3 Metropolis Limited Edition we owned between 2006-2009 and it worked really well with kids watching a shared DVD and playing arcade games that were pre-installed.

I think about retrofitting the RSE in my 2006 SC (RSE isnt standart over here)

Any ideas if that works? what do I need? headrests with display? The module? wiring loom.. remote controls and headsets.. what else??

Would not bother with retro fit, get an after market system.

So much cheaper.
