I've had the FF since May and noticing that in this damp weather the sides and side steps get dirty very quickly. I am making the assumption that mud flaps will help.

I'm not sure I'm keen on the looks with.

Anyone have pictures to convince me please? Preferably with deployable side steps...

Here's without... (and without the steps actually as it's before I fitted them!)

There you go (not deployable) with Front / Rear mud flaps. It all keeps a lot of road crap off the car plus stones coming up. Ive heard a few hit the underside of the steps since they have been on.

I have flaps on mine. I appreciate the keep some crud of the sides but by heck they are goppingly ugly. I detest how they bulge out rather than being a straight line downwards. They just don't need to be so big.

Sorely tempted to remove mine, but I'll need to plug the holes though.

The must also hammer the aero profile too surely ... Not that that counts for much. V8 or else ...

the front flaps look good but the rears stick out to much and should be smaller like the L405 ones .. ... - .- -.

Total waste of time and ugly

A must if driving on unsurfaced tracks. Also, reduce spray to following vehicles at high speed, so a safety feature.

A real mix of views here...

I like without but have them on mine

Had all flaps on my TD6 but this one has none on the rear....and all the black bit at the bottom of the bumper behind the wheel is rough as well due to stones being thrown up. Flaps would have stopped that.

Both cars get dirty the same up the back, which is a surprise. Sides get pretty dirty still, but that could also be do to side steps doing something to the airflow?

Had the back bumper been mint, I might have added flaps, but as it’s not, I might leave it as is.....

When I bought mine it had 10inch wide 22's fitted and had front mud flaps but not rears.

I fitted the rear mudflaps as was sick of the rear window being constantly dirty due to the massive wheels.

At the time they looked ok as the wheels used to hide them but now I've dropped back down to standard 20's they look hideous and I wish I'd not bothered with them.

Trouble is you have to drill the bumper to fit them so I'm now stuck with them unless I fill the holes.

Had them on the Td6 and have them now. Prefer to have them. Each to his own.  John

I don't have mud flaps.

And prefer the look without. But this is, of course, personal preference.

On the bright side ... a FFRR looks wonderful clean. But must be one of only a few cars which looks good dirty too.

What I don't understand is how the rear window gets so grubby.

The rear wheels are - almost - miles from it. So how the dirt gets there I have no idea

Turbulent air flow at rear causes dirty rear screen. Having flaps minimises the amount of mud, grit, and dust that is sucked up.

It's a shame they require drilling of bodywork, otherwise I'd try them out...

It's a big decision as once they are on, they have to stay on.... __
