Flat Wintrac 4 Xtreme = annoying

Whilst Rangie-ing around last weekend I copped a flint in the outer corner of my offside rear Wintrac 4 Xtreme (not repairable due to location of the damage):

After calling around this afternoon I found out that this particular tyre is no longer available, having been replaced by the Wintrac Xtreme S. And you can't mix two tyre types on the same axle.... So, two new tyres required at £180 a pop.

Has anyone got a part-worn (or new) Wintrac Xtreme 4 they're willing to part with? Is this just part of the joy of Rangie ownership?

Still loving the FF experience, just a bit annoyed about having to shell out for two tyres for one puncture. Should I go for a winter tyre that might be in production for a decent long time?

Any advice gratefully received!

Cheers, Fanders

"Not repairable" usually means "We can't repair it, as we only do minor repairs (as defined by BS AU 159)". You can, however, have a major (sidewall) repair carried out by a specialist. Google hot vulcanised tyre repair. It will be more expensive and you may have to send the tyre away unless you have a specialist locally. It usually done on industrial tyres.
