Deployable side steps becoming lazy

My 2011 Vogue side step on the driver's side won't retract properly. I've drowned the pivots in GT85 but no real improvement.

I've had issues when the battery has been low before, so I've had it on tickle charge, but still no joy.

With the engine running they work fine.

I am thinking the battery is on its way out.

Any other ideas chaps please?

Change the battery! Why take the risk of running such an advanced electrical monster with an iffy battery?

Seems simple to me sir Whistle

If it’s the original battery, it’s probably about due.

This time of year, I’d swap at the first sign of weakness or you just know it’s goi g to let you down at the most inconvenient moment possible
