2012 Supercharged Autobiography stalled in reverse???

Hi all weird one this, on hols in Brecon Beacons and was doing a 5 point turn that involved selecting reverse 3 times up a slope( not that steep, about 30 degrees), 2nd time I engaged reverse and pressed the throttle it stalled and I had to restart? No error messages, didn’t happen again all holiday despite repeating the manoeuvre daily.

Any ideas?

I did have it serviced just before we went away and everything was fine...

Thanks for your thoughts/feed back.

Darren

Petrol tank was 1/2 full and no other issues st all all week...

Thanks though.

Guess it could have been an airlock but would imagine that’d be quite rare?

Might be something totally random like the engine drawing a bunch hot air which had been heated by engine bay (cause your changing directions in a small space ) and it threw the ECU for a split second.

Does it have the auto-stop start system? Perhaps it got confused thinking it was stationary, and killed the engine in a rubbish attempt save fuel.

If its not a regular thing, then I wouldn't worry about it. V8 or else ...

Plenty of warm air in an engine bay assuming the unit has run fr a bit. Could drawing in such air really cause an ecu to throw a wobbly? How about hot climate conditions? Dunno.
