England 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver

My first Land Rover which gave me the bug!

I know that I have been lurking here for a while and currently have a RRS and a Ewoke sat on my drive, but I keep getting the urge to buy an older L322. Mrs Jim says that I am trying to relive my youth.....

That's the type of car that bit me in 1973.... a white 2 door! gotta love'em except the price... a good one is stupidly expensive! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aruba

This was my original RRC ... a white one which I blew the pistons rings out of booting it from the lights...

I later changed to a black one which got torn down to bare essentials ( no back seats or interiors etc )

including welding in a new rear corner wing ...

and a full engine rebuild ...

and was used off road .... (Recorded with an old camcorder on the dash, and a VHS video recorder on the back seat for the external camera! )

Happy days.

I do fancy getting another. Always liked the idea of a fast back RRC ....

 V8 or else ...

I have considered the long ranger side of things but there were aspects that wouldn't suit my ideas.

Always wanted a 6x6 as well. V8 or else ...

Hi everyone,

Just joined after spotting this new section. I've been reading the forums without an account for the past 2-3 years.

Last year I acquired my project. A 1994 Vogue LSE soft dash in Ardennes Green. I'm slowly working through it and hopefully it will get back on the road next year.

Hi ya, you're a braver man than me to take on a Mk1 EAS system! However for all it's faults, they are well known and there are work rounds, and being the original Air Ride RR it hasn't been over complicated!

Are you going to keep it all factory, or are you planning to improve it? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Easy enough to change the EAS to coils but they never seem to sit right after - always look a bit high IMHO.

Good luck with the refurb.

Yes Mike RRC's powered by the Devil are obviously a lot rarer than I thought Laughing

As far as EAS on an RRC, from what I can remember it was alway electrical gremlins that plagued them, I've often wondered if it might not be better to ditch the whole system and replace it with AirRide.... they do an all singing and dancing system, with height sensors... only Lucas wont have had a hand in it so it should work!!

From what I've read on other forums, once you de-Lucas the RRC it becomes a very nice car Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
