SRS Airbag Light

Had to take the missus to work the other day due to the weather , so , as car was frozen started it up and ran it to demist and clear the frozen screen etc - all OK and turned off. Went back an hour later and now on start-up and run I have the dreaded SRS Airbag light lit ! No movement of seats etc and all connectors OK , Yellow cable connector on battery also good. New battery 2 months ago and all fine. Unable to purchase a IID tool until next month so was wondering if there is anyone local to me with the ability to read and clear the fault please ? Located in Scarborough - thanks in advance. Wink

First thing I'd do is give the battery a good charge, wether newish or not it could be run down.

Thanks for that. Battery is fine and spins and starts engine quickly , as well as have 2 x good trips. Dont believe the battery is the issue though. I will hook up the charger and see what I get though to be on the safe side. Wink I believe I am correct in stating that as a fault is currently registered it will be stored so will require software to reset and clear it.

my old td6 had a airbag light come and it was the occupancy sensor in the seat base that was faulty. ... - .- -.

Cheers Stan - Thats my line of thinking seeing it was all OK until the missus sat in the passenger seat.

Same with mine. The light occasionally comes on, but only when I have a passenger and they are moving about. It is the sensor under the seat. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Hiya, did you manage to get it sorted cos I am having the same issue. I’ve heard you can bypass it but I can’t even find the module? I have a 2005/6 Vogue Sc. Any help would be appreciated.
