I have covered my seat switch trim's in leather, these usually all show signs of ware as when you get in and out, my one had a small crack in it as well, they have a rubber type paint on them and can mark from the studs on your jeans, the silver trim can also wear but my ones were fine.

Very nice, if the silver plastic wasn't cracked on mine, I would have mine trimmed, alas, it's £80 a side from LR, might invest in some as the interior is in good nick otherwise.

they were done for me by matt at www.jd-trimming.co.uk just say that you seen my ones, they were £60 a side, i had them done in sand with black stitching as my trim as the black panel down the center of the seats

Hmmmm, might get mine trimmed then, so how does the whole side panel come off? Is it just clipped in place or are there any hidden screws holding it on? I had a go at yanking mine off, (tee-hee) but didn't want to force it incase I had missed some fixings and I broke something. 2006 Mercedes CLS

There are a few (can't remember how many) TORX 25 bolts that you can get to by raising the the seat to its highest and its a lot easier if you remove the seat belt from the frame. Other than that there are a few clips that secure it to the seat frames so be careful with your yanking!!!

The silver part is a LR part and has the part number: HJI000040MVM (RH side) and HJI000050MVM (LH side) both £7.16 + VAT each.

Unfortunately in their infinite wisdom LR have discontinued the part and now you have to order the entire valance for £76.61 + VAT each!

There are varying part number for either LH or RH in your specific trim colour.
