I went for the Bosch on my 2003 TD6 after using them in other cars and never being let down with them

Yes, or that, when i bought my Jag XKR it threw up a load of strange codes, after speaking to a local specialist he said to fit a Varta and sell the Halfrauds battery that was in it, i did and the codes were cleared and never came back...

Thanks guys.. Have gone with the Varta from Tayna. "If" im right the Varta and Bosch are same battery in same factory! Yet the Varta came out £50 cheaper.

Thanks so much

Battery turned up! All I can say is the Varta one is a TIGHTTTTTTT fit!! But it does eventually fit and spins over awesome. Has eliminated that annoying HDC error I got each start too!

Thanks again!!

After having a few occasions the last couple of weeks when the car has been left a couple of days in the cold and barely having enough juice to start, I bit the bullet and replaced mine (2004 TD6) at the weekend with the Yuasa Silver 020 from Halfords (900 CCA, 115AH). It's a tight fit but does go in! Battery that came out was a LR branded Varta - it was the same size as the 020 but only 95AH).

Currently on offer at £125: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-bla...ar-battery 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile

Mine has always done the HDC Inactive bong on starting - it clears immediately though and HDC does work...

Always put it down to a dodgy battery, but even after replacing the battery, it still does it Censored 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile
