Rear side mirror

As you may know here in Portugal is LHD.
Two strange things has happened in the RR:
1 -The rear-view mirror on the right-hand side was tilted downward when the reverse gear was engaged. I changed the battery and that stopped doing it. What can I do to re-activate this function? I have the RSW Allcoms and I do not see any errors in the system.
2 - Another thing that happened and coincided with the change of battery, was the increase in consumption.
Before it was 11.8L / 100Kms, now it marks 13.4L / 100Kms.

Your help will be much appreciated

Did you do steering wheel reset after battery replacement? start the car and turn steering wheel full to the right and left.

Have you a user manual? Im sure one of the MY’s you could set the mirror to how you wanted it... Move the selector to the pass side and select reverse, then set the mirror glass to where you want it and when you take the car back out of reverse the mirror glass reverts back to set point...

Remember though, you need the mirror selector to be set to adjust the passenger side mirror for it to dip in reverse... Thumbs Up

My passenger side mirror dips no problem but it rarely goes back to its driving position which does my head in.

What is supposed to happen is this.

If the mirror adjustment selector switch is set for the driver's side, then the passenger side mirror wil lower when reverse is selected. On selecting anything other than reverse, the mirror should automatically revert to the road setting.

If the mirror select switch is set to the passenger side, then the mirror does not move when reverse is selected.

I keep my mirror selector set to the passenger side. It definitely dips & sometimes moves back to it's normal position but 9 times out of 10 it doesn't. My fatty is LHD but I doubt this would make a difference but I'll try keeping it set to the drivers side for a while to see what happens. Thumbs Up

So today I used the Fatty & remembered to set the mirror selector switch to the drivers side & wow it now works as it should. I never would've twigged this as no one but me ever drives it & I kept it set to the passenger side so I could re adjust it after each time it dipped but didn't return. So a big thankyou Berkshirelad for your explanation.
