Torque Converter diagnostics Error

When I run the diagnostics using my Chinese BMW Scanner (PA Soft 1.4), it reports a torque converter error 5212.

An online search of codes finds just one listing of this code being for low battery voltage, but the battery voltage seems OK. The gearbox (the third in the vehicle) seems OK. There is a tiny weep from the rear TC bearing, but neither garage I have checked with thought it anything to worry about.

I wonder if this is a quirk thrown up by using the BMW scanner on the L322 or whether it points to something serious. Most of the many other fault codes seem to match genuine faults, but most of them provide a text description rather than just a number code.

Does the E53 X5 use the same gearbox and torque converter? Old 110 2.3 Petrol ???? - ????
