Lovely looking car though Adam , whats the paint quality like ?

Thanks. Paint quality is the same as my previous MY17 car - about average I would say (not as good as Bentley but better than Audi / BMW).

Thanks Adam. Exhausts look fine to me as well.

Does the Infotainment system have the new online media functionality with Deezer and Tunein. I have seen that the latest Velar software has it... Just curious if the big RR has got it too...

I have seen Streaming services but will take a picture when I am in the car later.

Tunein word well (didn’t try Deezer)

Nice to see regarding Tunein! I already have Deezer subscription so it would be perfect to get rid of Spotify and only have one music streaming service.
Does your car connect to 4G?

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Baltic Blue

Spent most of the day yesterday driving my mates MY18 4.4. What a fantastic car. He picked it up on thursday did 25 miles home and then got man flue. Was supposed to 'do lunch' with him yesterday and try out the car instead he just gave it to me for the day! Gave it hime back with a few more miles on it. Whistle

Just a Vogue spec with a few added bits but so well put together. Found the controls intuitive and easy. Seats were not the best and base squabs look quite bulky.

I like the seat controls now being on the door card and the gesture roof blind is a nice touch. Also like the blind spot monitoring and the fact that most of the controls seem to be under glass and not individual tactile switches (i.e. steering wheel and door car switches etc)

I actually prefer the outgoing front end better than the new one.

All said - its a brilliant bit of kit (should be for 93K!) Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

What about the infotainment system? Is it stable? Have there been any reboot issues? I am trading in my MY17 which have been an Infotainment nightmare so I really hope that MY18 will be good... I am little bit nervous regarding what I have seen in the Velar forum and in the US Range Rover Forum...

I rejected my last MY18 due to infotainment issues so share your pain...

All good so far and a much better system but note that due to my previous issues and the dealer knowing about it my car had the latest software update for infotainment which was released on the 1st of March - might be worth you asking for the update to be applied to your car.

Good to hear regarding the infotainment system, it sounds promising. My car has not been released yet from the dealer and I have told them that I would like to have the last software as well Before I collect it. So let see....

After a couple of hours I found them to be a bit uncomfortable )lower back). I don't get that on my 322. Also the base stab was quite wide and flatter than mine.

It was actually just under 93K and had some options. I configured the same spec on the LR website and nearly broke 95K - agree stupidly expensive but hey ho - he's not got much else to splash the cash on (and he is one of these that has actually got the cash!) 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Thanks... After a few hours driving our L405, have noticed a tad lower back discomfort. No complaints at all, the seats do look and feel plush but sure it didn't happen with the L322 seats.

And good for him Thumbs Up

Looking forward to read your review. Mine MY18 is still blocked at the dealer. They are waiting for an updated part regarding the infotainment system and they refuse to give me the car until its solved wich I suppose is good decision....

Well after 7 months of being without one I finally collected mine today.
First impressions of cockpit is very nice. Two screens really set the car apart from the MY17. Buttons on steering wheel took a bit of getting used to but like the feel of them.
Dash layout pretty much the same as MY17 but not had time to explore
Seats to me are more comfortable than previous ones. Don't mind the settings being on the door card, wife has a merc so quite used to them being there.
The only issue I had was connecting Phone contacts, this was me rather than the car.
Missus took over half way down from Houghton as I was knackered, she was soon back into the swing of driving the Range Rover.
Car is now with DetailLer (NOT RETAILER) until Friday, will post some decent pics up then.
I have took some with iPhone but they won't upload to here.
All in all well impressed with what I have bought, so far anyway.
Steve

Pleased to hear it Steve Thumbs Up

I followed your experiences with your last 17MY but am now happy to report that, with under 15,000 miles in with my 30/9/17 MY17 and apart from the fact that the RSE operation is just as unfathomable as it was in the last D4, along with a couple of very minor early hiccups, it’s all working very well Very Happy
