Deployable side steps worth it? Entry height problem

Hi folks,
Had a disc prolapse and now find entering the FFRR quite a problem. Same with clmbing out.
Before resorting to selling the TDV8 I am thinking of getting those side steps fitted.

Is this something which would help getting in and out of the vehicle?
Do Ou really step on them and get in easier or is it just the fancy feature of a moving part when hitting the knob on the remote?

Experiences would be much aüpreciated!

Thanks and best regards

Hi , my other half is 5'2" and always had to have RR lowered on my 2007 which had fixed sidesteps, i have the deployable steps on my 2011 and she no longer needs the RR lowered. The deployable steps , deploy about half way between ground and car and imho make a big difference to getting in and out. 2015 4.4 AB

Thanks both, sound assuring.

Sounds like Dan will get a question soon.

Anybody got a clue on how much weight those steps are up to?
I am not exactly a feather.... Whistle

My old car didn't have them and I didn't want them. My new car has them - and now I wouldn't be without them. A very useful addition IMHO. Cool

My mother got into the car (or tried to!) the other day, for the first time since I got it. She's 83 years old and about 5 ft 2 inches, and she very nearly fell out - and would have done if I hadn't grabbed her arm and hauled her in, oops!
She's also extremely "green" and views all 4x4's as the main cause of climate change. Didn't stop her accepting the lift instead of getting a taxi though!

Even cheaper at John Craddocks, but if you sum it all up incl. Control box and loom, you end up at Duckworths‘ Dan with his prices second to none... Mr. Green
