Doubt very much if Halfords have ever sold more than handful at full price. Nevertheless, all good stuff and I always buy their professional range. Drives:
2010 FFRR TdV8 Vogue - Stornoway Grey
2010 FFRR TdV8 Vogue SE - Zermatt Silver
1998 BMW E36 M3 GTII

Agreed, their professional (or isn't it called Advanced now?) stuff is pretty good, I think. I've compared some of their items with Snap On kit - the Snap On stuff is waaay more expensive and I'm sure it's what a professional needs, but I think Halfords' Advanced tools are plenty good enough for DIY purposes.

As a mechanic full time, on some pretty heavy equipment, I can vouch for their stuff. I have been using it for about 7 years on a daily basis. They really do not quibble on the warranty either. I took a 10mm ratchet spanner which had been used daily for a number of years into a Halfords store in a town I was visiting, they swapped it immediately and didn't even ask for my details. The Best 4x4 by far, so long as you have deep pockets.

I have 3 or 4 Halfords Advanced/Professional socket sets spread around various cars and boats.

I love them, brilliant quality, and assuming you buy them on the numerous half price/discounted offers, I think very good value for money.

We’ve used a set for 12 years, have replaced a few pieces over the years without issue under the warranty without a receipt and to be honest they were blatantly misused. Whistle

Me too - great value and always replaced without question even when some serious abuse was involved.

I am sure the 200 piece set comes up at £99 from time to time.
I'd prefer them if they were all 6 point sockets.
KS tools also do a similar set that has offers occasionally on Amazon.
