New owner with a couple of faults?

Could just be they are all like that sir.
1, every now and then when turning off or unlocking, the steering wheel makes the noise that its trying to adjust although it doesn't move, when I touch the lever it stops?
2, no rear wash, wiper works fine?
3, should they lower at speed? Mine doesn't seem to, at what speed should that happen?
4, sat nav freezes, either the map or the start screen where you push the button to ok it.

Think thats it, apart from that its a lovely car.

1. Your steering column motors are FUBARed. If you have an Iid tool or similar switch the feature off.
2. Rear wash NRV (non return valve is FUBARed. Search here. Lots on how to fix,.
3. lowers automatically at 70MPH or thereabouts I believe. You have to have been travelling for a minimum distance for it to operate.
4. SATNAV FUBARed. Could need a new disc, or a clean up of disk or a new DVD unit in rear, or it may have water in. Again lots on here ref this . Search is your friend! (or ask Stan! Mr. Green )

Don't think the 3.6 lowers at speed. I have tried my 2007 and it didnt lower at over 100mph ( not that i could see anyway) 2015 4.4 AB

Steering adjustment works fine, in out, up down all good, it just sounds like it's doing it on its own without moving. (Sometimes)

I had to google that one. To save others like me 2.5 seconds:

Quote:
FUBAR is an acronym that originated in the military to stand for the words "f***ed up beyond all repair." This is often softened to "fouled up beyond all repair" in reference to hardware. The programming and documentation equivalent is "fouled up beyond all recognition."

I like it. Cheers, Greg

Apologies. Didn’t realise FUBARed wasn’t a stock expression/acronym. It was used extensively by the yanks in vietnam in the 60’s. Embarassed (and before anyone says, no I wasn’t there! Very Happy Rolling with laughter )

Ref the steering wheel, when u open up with the remote it moves to the position paired with that remote. Maybe it’s trying to get to the position but can’t? No idea otherwise.

Not sure why it doesn’t lower. I thought they all did?

Only the first generation of 322 show you on the buttons they lower at speed, gen 2 & upwards still lower at a given speed but they don’t advertise it Thumbs Up

The steering column wants to retract with ign on/off... Turn the feature off with a diagnostic machine and it will save it destroying itself one day (maybe soon)

The rear wash works through the plastic cap on the wiper arm, lift the cap (as if your accessing the 13mm nut) then press the wash cycle, if it then works the cap nozzles are blocked Thumbs Up
