My exhaust back box was also looking tatty, so I treated it to a couple of coats of high temperature satin black today.

Please excuse the tailpipes that are in need of a polish.

Cheers

Looks good. Makes such a difference when looking at back of car! What is the difference between s/c box and standard 4.4??

Can i just buy the straight silver pipes as seen in your pics and add them to my 4.4 box?

most people want £150 + for some bent pipes that add on and seems steep!

Another similat but just a satifying job is to remove the wheels (one by one) and paint the silver/grey wheel hubs that ALWAYS start to rust and look horrible.

I do it be sanding down the rusty silver paint to a smooth finish and then undecoat with a zinc based heat resistant product followed by a coat of either Grey, Silver or Black heat resistant satin or gloss paint depending on wheel colour.

When touch dry the wheels can be put back on but leave the car a few hours to dry hard before driving.

Its a half day job and the result is amazing and last for ever (ish) Very Happy

These I did in Black Gloss:

Couldn't agree more. Its all these bits that make a car look old. The other bit that i always seem to focus on is the brake disc cover behind the brake disc and would like to coat this in shiney silver!

just cleaned the disc up and painted with silver hammerite, black gloss caliper paint and yes they are decals, they have been on there for a while with no probs, cleaned up the caliper with a wire brush and then paint them, any excess soon gets rubbed off, i cant stand looking at a nice car and then seeing rusty calipers.done both the front and back V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
