What exactly is this module?

In the boot of my 2004 L322 with MOST system I have a loose module. It is not mounted and not connected. It is literal just laying there. I can see no loose wires or MOST connections to go into it, and if there was some unconnected MOST connections the system would not work anyway.

So I am guessing it is not needed but I'm curious.

The number on it is XRA500030

If I google it, I get a few of them for sale on eBay and Amazon etc and they seem to be called either: antenna amplifier, radio receiver or traffic control module.

At first I thought it might be an old one that was replaced, but I can't see a similar one anywhere in the electronics cubby.

So can anyone tell me with some certainty what this module actually does, whether my 2004 (05my) TD6 should have one and if so, where it might be.

Thanks RR History

Going off my microcat here is the following:

MAJOR, ELECTRICAL, AUDIO/ENTERTAINMENT SYS.PROD.FIT.
SECT, AUDIO EQUIPMENT-ORIGINAL FIT, FROM (V)5A000001 TO (V)9A999999
RX ASSY - RADIO, TRAFFIC MASTER, '(-)"CDN/MEX/USA"'
TRAFFIC MESSAGE CENTRE - TMC, WITH NAV SYSTEM-BECKER
TRAFFIC PRO, WITH MESSAGE CENTRE

Whether it should be fitted, I am not sure, but the Canada/Mexico/USA tells me it might not belong to the vehicle and a PO might have had a play about to see if they could get it to work.

If your radio, cd, etc is all working fine then I would not bother with it.
