Engine Bay Fuse Info

Hi Guys,

Hoping that someone can help me with this as I'm drawing a blank at every turn.
2009 L322 3.6TDV8 driving perfectly with no faults or warnings. Parked on drive and when I got in it 24hrs later I am met with a barrage of warning messages and it won't even attempt to turn over. Key turns and there's nothing at all. I can't even move it to get it to my indy.

Battery changed, jump leads on the battery from a Disco to keep the volts up, fault codes read with a basic reader (there were so many faults all relating to sensors not communicating but none that should prevent it turning over) and still drawn a blank. Not had an iid or faultmate on it yet but that'll be the next step I imagine.

Anyway, after working my way through testing every fuse in all 3 fuse boxes, I've found F14 (standard 10A fuse) in the engine bay box has popped. Replaced with battery connected and after 5secs it popped again.
I've been through everything and trawled Google and can't find what this fuse feeds but obviously something on the end of it is shorting. Big Cry

Can anyone give me a clue as to what this and other fuses in the engine bay box do, specifically F14? Also, any advice on the overall fault or where to look next for the short would be massively appreciated!

Pictures attached of the 3 main dash warnings on key turn.

Cheers in advance!

For MY10-12 engine bay fuse 14 is 40A for the heated front screen.

Edit - too slow!

Thanks for your replies guys but definitely not the heated screen. Its an early 2009 so the MY07-09 version. No key on the cover either. My guess as it's a 10A fuse (again based on googles help and which fuses are present) it is likely to be whatever F9 is on your pic? - a cog?

There's so little info available on this fuse box it's unbelievable Sad

Fuse 9 on MY10-12 is 10A for the TCM (transmission control module) and valve body in the gearbox.

Bolted somewhere on the outside of the gearbox that would have to be near the wiring going into the gearbox is a capacitor that sometimes goes short circuit. The capacitor is only for noise suppression for the radio so can be removed initially to test if it is causing the fuse to blow and if the cause then leave it off until a replacement is obtained.
