Bleeding Jack

I have a Merc Sprinter Jack but its running out of puff before it gets to a sufficient height to remove wheels - it was OK. I've ordered some Hydraulic Jack Oil to bleed it and the top it up but I just realised I don't know how to do it - can anyone help? Geoff

There's several clips on YouTube for bottle jacks in general. I don't know if any of them will be relevant.

Cheers mate, I had a look you are right. If it confirms to "the norm" I should be OK, I've ordered the Hydraulic Oil so will give it a try next week. Geoff

I broke mine too Embarassed put a kink in it and it leaked fluid Thumbs Up

Second trailer puncture of the trip, so I jacked up my trailer (still attached to the car) removed the wheel and got distracted, before driving off to get a replacement tyre - so yes - the trailer was still attached - fortunately twin axle, so disaster avoided, but it cost me a jack Embarassed

Why on earth are you jacking up a twin axle trailer ???? Far far simpler, quicker and safer

You can even make one out of a block of wood or just drive up a car ramp or even a kerb Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Easy job but it still leaks fluid, I needed the jack to rotate the tyres because the front nearside had taken a bit of a hammering - roundabouts I think, job now done. However I still have the issue of tyre pressures I’ve got 22” wheels on an L322 I went with 33 front and 36 rear as suggested for L405, seems OK anyone have a different setup.? Geoff

I saw one of those, but seemed quite expensive and bulky for something I thought I didn't really need Confused

Whenever my trailer isn't in use, I jack it up and replace all 4 wheels with stands - so I'm kind of programmed to just jack it up.

Mine still has the 'ears' on it, so relatively safe to jack a trailer axle as long as you don't drive off with it jacked up Embarassed

spare doesnt have to match Geoff...
