United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Baltic Blue
Webasto (Telestart) T91 with T91R remote compatibility

Hi folks,

You did such a great job answering my previous question I thought I’d throw another one out there.

My 2011 Vogue has a Webasto T91 receiver fitted in luggage compartment (boot) and a T91R remote control that does/will not sync when the procedures found on this forum are tried.

So to my question, is the T91R remote compatible with the T91 receiver, or does the “R” make a difference?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Yeah I had that when programming mine recently. I'm sure I was doing something wrong when it came to programming it - I think I had I misread the instructions as holding the off button for 3 seconds rather than just pressing off within 3 seconds. I tried for ages one afternoon and had no success. Came out the next day and it did it first time, so I must have been doing something wrong, but I'm sure you aren't. Strange as I like to think I'm a reasonably bright guy but following 3 very basic instructions was clearly too difficult.

But will suggest if pulling the fuse isn't working, try just pulling the connection of the receiver and do it that way instead, but you have all the pieces to make it work, so you will get it to work. Current Fleet:-

Please someone correct if they have personal experience to the contrary, but I was under the impression that the T91r only works with the L405 and that you need the T91 remote for the L322.
(If that’s not the case I’d be interested as I need a remote fob).
Edit: I might be being stupid; perhaps the ‘r’ just means ‘remote’??? 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

Chris_read my thoughts exactly.

This has now been concluded with a happy ending as new T91 (no R) remote purchased, first attempt at syncing it worked a treat.

So it is obvious that a T91R remote is not compatible with an L322 equipped with a T91 receiver.

Thank you all who posted replies especially Chris_read who confirmed what I had suspected. Very Happy

Just a note for anyone looking for a reciever unit the T91R cannot be used on the L322 as it does not have an anologue output however the T90 and T91 are interchangeable as are the T90 and T91 remotes, I one of each both remote and reciever and all work fine. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
2005 4.4V8 (M62) Bonatti Grey/ Parchment interior - gone
1998 4.6HSE Blue/ Cream interior (can't remember exact colours) - gone
1977 White - gone (should have kept)

Defo needs to be T91 not T91R

I have had the same issue, picked up a new T91 from Duckworth Dan £110 inc and problem solved.

Horts
