United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black
sat-nav co-ordinates

Hi, I tried typing an address on my sat-nav using the co-ordinates feature, started typing in the latitude numbers but before i could type all the numbers it went onto longitude, it won't let me type in the full set of numbers.
Has anybody had the same problem.
My car is a 2012 4.4TDV8 Westminster

I booked a hotel in France last year and they gave the co-ordinates rather than a post code.
I remember struggling to put it in , but seem to remember that the shorter version ie leaving off the last digit, on both latitude and longitude took me to within visual contact .
Sorry can’t be more specific because that is the only time I have used the facility.

The RR sat nav works in degrees , minutes and seconds not the more common decimal degrees.

There are on line converters but I made an excel sheet to convert them as I use them all the time for Caravan sites, last trip I had about 20 listed.

It would be nice to be able to load them from a memory stick after planning on the home computer but no option.

Have tried it with fewer digits and it does work, but it's not very accurate, i typed in the co-ordinates for dover and it was telling me my destination was about 2 miles into the english channel, think i will stick to using post codes.

It is very accurate but as I said above you have to convert it to degrees minutes and seconds.

If you wanted to put 53.50 in it would be 53 degrees and 30 minutes.

I use it all the time and will take me to the gate of the planned campsite.

Try converting your coordinates on line and try again.
