Passenger Deployable step making grinding noise

Hi there

I have a question for the braintrust. I have the deployable steps in a MY08 HSE - the driver side one is good, the passenger side one makes a much much louder noise (grinding) and sometimes pauses during the extension (like a two step process)

Can these steps be taken apart and then have the bearings replaced (I assume thats the problem) 2008 HSE B. Grey

May be a silly question, but have you oiled all of the pivots and linkages? I do mine with a heavy marine grade lubricant every couple of months.
