Phone book not downloading

Stupidly I have updated the iOS on my iPhone and now the phone book doesn’t populate. The Auto download is selected on the car - does anyone have any tips please??? I don’t have any photos saved against my phone book entries.

Many thanks 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Check for any foreign characters in your contacts and any obvious other corruption.

I believe the iOS update is the issue.
Many problems reported such as non genuine screens no longer working and the like.
If you can go back to the last iOS then do.

Naughty Apple again!!! 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Have you tried deleting both the pairing from the phone and deleting the pairing from the car ?

Many thanks all for the input - problem now resolved. As suggested I made sure the contacts only included alpha characters.

I had several with numbers, commas and full stops. The iOS update screwed everything up. It took an 1hr to go through all my contacts amending the name to just names. Previously I had Office1, Office2 etc etc. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Posting this as another solution as it may help others - I had the same issue crop up again after another iOS update - this cured it:

Go to your iPhone Bluetooth settings and with Bluetooth turned on the list of previously paired devices should show. Click on the ”i “ for your car and in the next setting turn on “Sync Contacts“ and other options if you want. Please note that not all devices (or car) have this option - most only have ”forget this device 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
