I have an account and its always been run by SANEF, the company that sells French autoroute tags; I asked if they could programme my autoroute tag to work on the Dartford Crossing and they can’t because the crossing uses ANPR. That’s why you have to register your reg numbers to tie them to your account.

Remember when they said the tolls would only be there until the cost of the bridge had been recovered. That was about 10 years ago and instead of getting rid of the toll they put them up! I rarely use it now, but keep rhe account open with a £10 auto top up as i would forget to pay if i didn’t. Works out at £1.67 per trip. Most times I cross is for work so I reclaim. Still annoying that we still have to pay mind!

Yup i do as well . I closed my account as ive just had mt roght leg amputated and wont be driving legally for at least several months. I was in total shock that i as well as friends where led to believe that it was sold to a french company but infact most directors of the company are or where mps . It amazès me seeing the acounts of which are freely available of the so called profit for tax they pay . Damm they have great accountants money talks for sure i thought my accountant was good thinking about calling the accountant who prepered there accounts for sure !

At one point. Le crossing Ltd, a French company managed the crossing, they couldn’t find a competent uk company! Bonkers.

With Sanef in charge of collecting the dosh, you would expect them to be able to collect the foreign drivers who fail to pay!

I believe there is a scheme for £20.00 per annum for unlimited crossings.... not sure if current, no time too check!

The £20 is only for those who live in the Dartford or Thurrock Council tax area as a local resident discount.

Best wishes
