EGR cooler bypassing

I’m chasing a small coolant leak and suspect one of my EGRs could be the culprit.

I have EGR emulators so looking at either bypassing the coolers or blanking the cooling hoses.

Anyone have experience of this?

Bypassing would be the best solution but blanking the hoses would probably be easier, but I’m not sure if this would be detrimental to any other coolers (or heaters).

Does anyone know if the outlet from the EGR coolers flows to another cooler or just returns to the ‘main’.

Or in other words are the EGR coolers in series or parallel with other other coolers? 2007 3.6 TDV8
