Detachable Towbar Retrofit

So in lieu of not knowing what’s going on with the electric order I’ve just picked up from eBay a West falia detachable towbar and all the trimmings. Has anyone fitted one? Any pics of the bumper middle area would be great.

Thanks in advance Paul all smug in my new plug!

Have fitted two but sorry no photos. It's a straightforward job. The main thing to watch is, when removing the bumper, not to break the tags (not easy).

This PowerfulUk video might help (although he does break the clips!! Rolling Eyes )

I've got the electric towbar install document

http://accessories-instructions.landrover.com/docs/pdf/580.pdf

It helped me identify the parts needed to avoid buying an incomplete 2nd hand towbar.

Paid 160 quid on ebay last night so think it's a fair bargain over 3k for a new ekectric and it's a West Falia. all smug in my new plug!

Very comprehensive instructions those, no wonder a retrofit electric towbar is so expensive.

I particularly liked the blazé way they tell you to chuck loads of bits in the bin. Clearly written for dealers who will never care about such items Shocked Shocked

Sounds like you have a bargain there Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
