Dancing headlights

New to me 2014 L405 AB.

I’ve noticed my headlights (LCDs)

dancing/moving around????

I have no idea why but surely this isn’t normal?

Only had the car a week so not sure if I have programmed them in error, anyone have any idea what’s going on? 718 GT4

if you have AFS headlights, the ones that follow the road as you go round corners , then thats perfectly normal..the headlights are adjusting them selves.... ... - .- -.

No not loose in the headlight they are flashing/ dancing.

In the picture, on my first post, looking at the off side light unit the L and oval (LEDs) are flashing alternately one after the other. This is happening on the near side also.

I can’t post a video as I don’t know how Embarassed Embarassed 718 GT4

If you video it they will look like they are flashing and moving around and that is perfectly normal as LED lights flash but very quickly so the human eye can't see it. When you video them the frame rate of the camera, unless perfectly timed to the lights will show them as flashing. Now you may have a problem with the lights but videoing them probably wont show it up! Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

That doesn't look normal , maybe the controller that dims them when an indicator is on is playing up. 2015 4.4 AB

If you can see it with the naked eye then yes there is a problem and you should take it in to have the garage look at it

This is the effect I was talking about when you video a led car light

It looks like each lamp has two elements which make up the whole signature look, each element in each light appears to be flashing alternately, not normal at all.
LEDs usually rely on a driver component, maybe the driver is kaput? David
