air suspension inactive?

hi all

okay so here we go first problem just appeared in the message centre as the topic states, Air suspension inactive, I just drove it 50 miles, and it seems fine? no accompanying red warnings on the dash, should I be overly concerned, or do I only need worry if i'm off road?

any advice greatly appreciated

regards

You may not have noticed that all your EAS lights on the dash have gone out ?

Might fix itself with a steering wheel lock to lock or battery disconnection procedure (both). Otherwise a hard fault, that will need fault code reading and resetting. .

The light is lit on this pic....

Video here shows the lights changing when you move the selection knob. He obv fixed the issue which he didn’t show.....

You need to get it diagnosed really, as Joe90 says, irs a fault that needs to be reset with a diagnostic tool, even if you fix the faulty part.

You need it working really as the car wontvself level and it lowers at higher speed to aid handling.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

If it turns out to be your pump then I have one here that you are welcome to - took it off my 04 4.4 as I thought there was a problem with it but the fault was not with the pump - I have put a new seal on it just to make sure - Im near Milton Keynes so if you want to pop in and fit it then you are welcome to it - takes about 20 minutes to fit.

thanks chaps for your replies, and apologies for my delayed response

I haven't tried your suggestion yet Joe, will do when I get a chance

I might give the guy in the video a call, when I can,

Bruno thanks for the offer of your spare pump, I may need to take you up on that!

I don suppose it could be something simple as a fuse could it?

cheers all

If the lights are out you have a hard fault. It is a Range Rover, nothing as simple as a fuse Laughing - although it does happen...

What you need is one of these Wink

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic47878.html

The chap in the video will probably charge you that much to fix it or just diagnose the problem!! Shocked .

thanks chaps

I understand about the Vid thanks, i might consider the AA as a second port of call, after i try Joe's suggestion of full wheel lock, i dont know about disconnecting the battery, i read somewhere may have been in the Wiki section, there is a part that is designed to explode in the event of an impact Shocked Shocked so a bit worried about doing that TBH

Cheers Bruno, if it comes to it, please let me know how much you want PM if you want

Joe, I bought this a couple of years ago for my Jag, never been used, i downloaded 'Torque' pro software, would it work on the RR?

Don't want anything for it Steve. Maybe a couple of quid next time you pass a charity box.
