hi,
replaced all my brake hoses and brake lines over the last few evenings. I bought most of the parts from advanced factors all very good and arrived quickly.

all fitted apart from the brake hose clips, little bits on the other side of the body brackets.
im getting very confused at the difference between what i removed and what i bought. annoyingly the ones i removed got thrown away, (car isnt at mine so someone was tidying up left me the brake pipes to use as patterns but chucked everything else away )

has one part been superseded and im just a dummy that cant figure out how to fit it?
Also part numbers online all seem to be different (EJP7813 & SGK100670L) but point to 2 different pictures. attached is what i removed on the left and what i bought on the right.
part on the right is very tight to fit to the hose and seems to so all once its clipped on. there doesn't seem to be enough room for it to fit inside the sides of the body bracket.

my head hurts!

They just replied to me.

They said EJP7813 is only for fronts.
They don't sell the rear clip SGK100670L.
They said they would have just sent me some if they sold them, which is great service from them as always.

Im still confused as i havenet removeed the fronts yet and they appear to have SGK100670L fitted and not the EJP7813 part AF say is correct.

im now slightly more confused

If you look on the Brit-car website (usually a very good, accurate source of parts & info), those 2 photos correspond directly to the 2 different part nos you quote & do not supercede each other.

yeah. I dont think they should sell the part they list for L322 as EJXXX, elsewhere that is for Disco 1 and RR classic.

Off to dealer to get the right parts tonight then...

so i wasnt going crazy. they gave me the wrong part and it doesnt fit

waiting for LR dealer to give me a price but also contacted BMW dealer as i believe bmw part number 34341163565 is the same.

AF came back the EJ part is for 4.4 V8 and the 4.2 Supercharged not TD6. must be something to do with changeover of brakes BMW vs Ford or something. they are looking into getting their catalogue updated.

When I did my brake pipes I replaced all 4 existing pipe retaining clips with new ones of the same shape and they were the ones in the first pic (u shaped clip with a full diameter hole in the centre).

BMW part is the right one. It was 84p from bmw dealers. looking online for the LR equivalent they about £4.50 each!
