Gadgets & Kit - the overpriced or never used?

Whilst in Halfords the other day there was a Yellow Meguiars washing bucket on display and separately, a yellow Meguiars grit guard. No prices displayed. Was buying a few things so picked up and bought the grit guard to fit nicely in my existing wash buckets.

Just looked at the receipt. 11 quid! (£11 GBP) Thud

The shop did have big windows mind... They certainly saw me coming Laughing

Going rate for a Megs grit guard apparently Rolling Eyes

Shocked I hope it’s guarded you from a lot of grit.

I just don’t dunk my sponge to the bottom of the bucket Thumbs Up

Go to a breakers yard and get a mesh guard for an electric cooling fan......Scorpio, senator etc had them and put at bottom of bucket, or......some chicken wire doubled over? Whistle David

Please let me know if my comments upset you, I may wish to upset you again.

Funny, my Son and I were if Hafrauds over the weekend and looked at these. I can't believed I'm saying this but they were a good quality bucket! (I'm middle aged - I'm allowed to say things like that))

You can also get a lid for them too to keep mitts etc clean when not in use.

I was tempted.... Whistle 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Mine came from ultimate finish. 2 buckets, grit guard, and lid.
I Use them all the time.

I didn't buy them though, they were a Christmas present Very Happy

I don't know just how effective the grit guard is, as I try not to get grit on my mit in the first place. Too many toys, not enough time
