I wouldn't accept it without a discount. We are half way through August at the end of the day so who wouldn't wait until the 1st of September and get the new plate?

You'll have a brand new car for 2 weeks (or less) then it will be the 'old' registration. Is bad enough that a new car is only 'new' for 6 months these days instead of the year we used to get.

Furthermore, who's to say that the WLTP certificate isn't going to affect the value a few years down the line when the government become even more strict on emissions?

Sounds like he dealer has given you a get out of jail free card and if you can wait another 6 months then do that and get a 19 plate. Of course you'll need to consider the fact that if you have a trade in then that will depreciate more over the next 6 months and be worth less.

Very, very, very nice vehicle. Good decision to go for it and accept delivery. The car looks superb and I can understand why you couldn't turn this down, well done!

my Last 4WD was this,
