United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
Lazy lower tailgate

The lower tailgate has stopped opening fully flat when using either the key or boot button - it seems to hang tight for the last inch or so of travel.

It’s possible to push it fully open by hand.

Still under warranty so I’ll chat to the dealer, but wondered if anyone else on here had experienced this or similar? 2016 SDV8 AB

This problem now fixed under warranty.

The fix was a software update to the body control system. Seems like a surprising fix to me but good as it meant parts weren’t needed and hence quicker.

When I booked this in to the dealer they guessed it might be software as they have seen similar before.

Agree, it does seem odd that there's software involved

Glad it's fixed, but doesn't bode well for the future assuming that software is only available to main dealers.....
