My previous black 2011 VSE was an OY registered car used by royal protection......allegedly it was used in a big wedding.

First letter O is a standard Oxford registration area and OV and OY are standard issue numbers. Statistically likely to have been an ex-JLR car, but equally could just have been registered new in the Oxford registration area by a first owner.

That's a good point - I know that JLR auction some of their cars into their dealer network. However, there are others that are put through public auctions. The L405 that I did my experience day in was for sale with Saxton 6 months or so later......http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic36323.html |

a lot of the press launch vehicles which arent white are also OY, we have had none white LRE vehicles too, for example when new MY comes out. Cheers
