Something to do with video or sound -- a model number from the back might help

What are you getting ? Any sound ? Any video ? Blank screen ? Functionality ?

You may need to have a good sort out of the rear left cubby to see what is what.

My strip down from a few years ago may help. I didn't have a VEBA unit, but from the sound if it a similar set up with after market rear screens, infrared headphones, and a playstation ONE.

Well you have made a start by looking in the rear left cubby Thumbs Up

More work to do, as you will need to check all the connector blocks to all the units, especially to the BM54 (radio), DVD unit and video module. You will need to remove the black plastic cover to the boot (two plastic 10mm nuts and the luggage securing hook - allen key) along with the side carpet trim, in order to have decent access to everything.

It is worth removing the covers for these units as well, even though they may look dry on the outside, they may have suffered water ingress in the past and this is only now causing problems.

See here: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post482337.html#482337
(my DVD player battery drain, and probably intermittent ICE shutdowns as well) .
